Services - Coronary Angioplasty PCI
Coronary Angioplasty PCI - Perctuaneous Coronary Intervention
This is a treatment procedure with a similar preparation to the angiography. The angioplasty is performed at Epworth Hospital and will require an overnight stay. A thin tube containing a balloon is guided toward a blocked coronary artery where the balloon is inflated. This stretches the plaque or blockage to improve blood flow.
